Synopsis: | A kinder, gentler Waters? To be sure, he doesn't laugh at, but with, his working-class Baltimoreans. Still, you've got strippers (of both sexes), a "talking" statue of the Virgin Mary, and rats having sex, so this isn't a Disney film. Pecker (Furlong), who gets his name from pecking at his food, is a sweet teenager and amateur photog, who takes pictures of what's around him. His work catches the eye of New York art dealer Rorey Wheeler (Taylor), who wants to showcase the next hot trend, and Pecker becomes an overnight superstar in the fickle art world. But his celeb status has unexpected repercussions on his hometown friends and family. |
