Dorky high school senior Dizzy (Qualls) wants to transform himself into a cool guy--by getting expelled and transferring to another school. Instead, he winds up in prison where he meets Luther (Griffin), who gives him an attitude makeover. Once he hits the new school, his newfound popularity has him winning a hottie cheerleader (Dushku) and uniting the school. Long (but not quite long enough)-delayed high school flick shows a certain lack of effort on most everyone's part, most notably the director, writer, and cinematographer. Qualls is likable, Deschanel is better than flick deserves, and Dushku supplies the expected sexual spark.
